The NECE 2019 conference aims to explore the issue of inequalities in the development of young people’s citizenship and political identity. The participants will ask how deprivation – in its various forms and especially in the context of widening inequality – affects the way that young people think of themselves as citizens of a city, a country or of the international community.

Have a look at the detailed programme and register for the conference.

The NECE – Networking European Citizenship Education platform is a European initiative on citizenship education which has been initiated and managed by the Federal Agency for Civic Education (Bundeszentrale für Politische Bildung, ‘bpb’) with the Zentrum fir politesch Bildung and six other partners from France, The Netherlands, Austria, Slovenia, Poland and the Czech Republic for more than ten years now.
